SHOW MOREMaterial
Different materials can be selected for the beam and the column. The following materials are available:
- Structural steel: S235, S275, S355, S450
- Annealed steel (S275N – S460N)
- Thermo-steel (S275M – S460M)
- Weathering steel (S235W – S355W)
- High-temperature steel (S460Q – S460QL1)
- Hollow section, hot-finished (S235H – S355H)
- Hollow section, hot-finished, fine-grain (S275NH – S460NH)
- User-defined steel
Structural system
Available systems:
- Beam to continuous column (T-joint)
- Beam to column ending at the corner (knee joint)
- Column to beam ending above the column (K-joint)
- Column to continuous beam (rotated T-joint)
- T-joint with haunch on one or both sides and inclined beam
- Knee joint with haunch on one side and inclined beam
- Knee joint with additional tension plate in the bolted connection, optionally also bolted to a top plate
- Arrangement of diagonal stiffeners or a web plate on one side in the shear panel area
- Arrangement of web stiffeners in the load-transferring member is possible
- Field joint in the beam as flexurally rigid butt plate joint, flush or projecting
- Stiffeners at the outer flanges of the connected beam are automatically placed and cannot be removed
Cross-sections:
- I-sections as standard shapes
- User-defined I-sections
Loads
- Design internal forces from axial force, moment, and shear force
- Multiple combinations of design internal forces can be entered
Design
The weld seams, the shear panel as well as the transverse stiffeners or load application points are verified and, if applicable, the field joint is checked in addition. The verification of the weld seams is performed in accordance with the simplified method and based on the permissible weld seam limit stresses.
